Rotherham test will be a new one for Wolves

WOLVES will tread unusual new ground in the Carling Cup second round after being drawn away to League Two side Rotherham.
The Millers, who dumped Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves opponents in the Championship on Saturday, out of the cup on Tuesday, are this season playing their home games at Sheffield's Don Valley Athletics Stadium following a dispute with the owner of their historic Milllmoor home.
So inside the famous Don Valley running track Wolves will attempt to extend their cup run in the week beginning August 25.
Mick McCarthy's men, and their defenders in particular, will hope for better fortune than in their last two cup visits to the Millers. They brought two defeats with 10 goals conceded.
In 2002, a second round Worthington Cup tie between the sides ended 4-4 after extra time before Rotherham won 4-2 on penaties. In the Millers' team that night was Mark Robins, now their manager.
The previous meeting was even more grim for Wolves as they hurtled towards relegation to the old Division Four in 1985/86.
Drawn at Millmoor in the FA Cup first round they were thrashed 6-0 as a back four of Steve Stoutt, David Barnes, Ricki Herbert and Nicky Clarke failed to give rookie goalkeeper Scott Barrett a fat lot of protection.
